Who We Are
“I’ve been with Quantum Leap Racing for four years. I’ve been really impressed with their knowledge, professionalism and communication. Unlike many syndicates, all costs are laid out and there is total transparency. Quantum Leap Racing have proved on several occasions they can consistently buy quality horses and event sell them for considerable profit…with some great days out along the way!”
– Ged Shields, Member.
Quantum Leap Racing is a thoroughbred racehorse syndicate whose main aim is to compete at the top level. We buy yearlings to progress with age and run over the Classic distances. Buying progressive horses offers the best ownership experience, as well as opportunities for resale to countries such as Australia and Hong Kong.
Syndicates and partnerships are an increasingly popular way to get involved in racehorse ownership. We appeal both to those for whom the expense involved in outright ownership is prohibitive and those who prefer to spread their outlay amongst a number of horses. As well as improving the odds of success, joint ownership can increase the enjoyment by sharing the experience with a group of friends and like-minded enthusiasts.
Quantum Leap Racing has a great track record, both racing and selling, from purchasing a small number of yearlings each year. In 2022 we have thirteen horses in training, five of which are two-year-olds. Our eight older horses include a potential Ascot Gold Cup competitor and a three-year-old filly who will be aimed at the top races in the autumn.
By partnering with us, you can increase your chances of owning a good horse – we have the statistics to back it up. Our horses are bought specifically for our syndicates and with a specific objective in mind.
We take great care of our members and provide a range of benefits such as social events, visits to stallion farms, racing yards and much more to ensure you have a wonderful ownership experience. If you’d like to own a runner at Royal Ascot, Glorious Goodwood, Newmarket’s July meeting, York’s Ebor Festival, Chester’s May meeting or even the Melbourne Cup Carnival, we’re the team to join!
Quantum Leap Racing adheres to the BHA Syndicate Code of Conduct.

Our Team

Eamonn O’Connor
Eamonn is the founder and Managing Director of Quantum Leap Racing. An experienced business manager with board-level experience and particular expertise in the financial services and investment sector, he grew up in an Irish family and inevitably spent his Saturdays with the races on the tele! After decades of watching the sport from the outside, Eamonn had his first experience of ownership in 2011 before running a few successful breeze-up pinhooking syndicates from 2015. It was the repeated success of those breeze-up horses on the racecourse (if not in the sales ring) that prompted Eamonn to set up a racing syndicate to maximise the return on the yearlings being purchased.

Jeremy Brummitt
Jeremy is responsible for buying our yearlings. Jeremy is an experienced and well-known bloodstock agent. His expertise extends across all aspects of the thoroughbred industry having worked on breeding farms and in training establishments around the world. He has an outstanding track record in buying elite racehorses, both for investment and racing purposes. Jeremy’s successes include the purchase of St Leger winner Masked Marvel and G1-winning stallion Russian Camelot.

Niall O’Connor
Niall is responsible for the day-to-day running of the syndicate, from communicating with trainers and owners, to organising one of our many events or stable visits. Niall studied Economics & Politics at the University of Leeds alongside working in training yards. Since graduating he’s immersed himself in the world of horse racing, working for trainers, stud farms and auction houses across the world before completing the prestigious Godolphin Flying Start programme, of which he is a recent graduate.
