Tendentious (GB)

Colt, 4 yrs
Sire: Intello
Dam: Capacious
Trainer: David O'Meara

Tendentious continued to grow and is a rangy, impressive colt. He was showing forwardly early in the year without being asked any questions, but was probably too exuberant for his own good. When it became obvious that we would not be able to make the track by late summer and a stallion career became a remote possibility, we decided to geld him and allow him the time to mature naturally, hopefully enhancing his capacity to become a progressive and durable three years old in the mould of his full brother in blood Gabr. He has a modest, but progressive half brother called Uzincso, who has won three of his last four races this season. He should be ready for a debut as soon as the turf season gets underway..

His pedigree is interesting, as he is a full brother in blood to one of his sire's best sons in Gabr. That colt was out of a full sister to the dam of this one called Spacious. This mare has bred four foals and on the face of it they have been modest; however the only one by a stamina influence (Nathaniel) appeared to be progressing rapidly at the end of his three years old campaign. but never reappeared.

The other three are by sprinters which stand at the breeder's stud. The most recent runner appears modest, but looks progressive and has shown much improved form in his last two starts and could well climb the ranks at four.
