It’s important that our owners feel involved. To this end, each of our syndicates is established as a separate partnership, typically consisting of six to twelve shares per horse.
We like to involve our potential partners from outset. Potential owners are encouraged to join us at the sales and experience the excitement of the major thoroughbred sales. Members experience the whole process of assessing a horse, producing a shortlist, placing a value on potential purchases and, of course, bidding in the ring. Educative, exciting, frustrating and enjoyable in equal measure!
It is not just about the day at the races. We organise regular social events for our owners, from informal get-togethers to industry events, visits to stud farms and trainers’ yards. Our members have frequently reported that their knowledge of all aspects of the sport has increased considerably as a result.
Keeping our owners informed is high on our priority list. Eamonn and Jeremy are accessible to owners at all times and the trainers with whom we work share our commitment to good communication.
We arrange regular stable visits for owners, both to trainers with whom they have a share in a horse and others, again, with a view to broadening our owners’ experience of the sport and to compare and contrast different approaches to training thoroughbred racehorses. It will usually also be possible for you to make ad hoc visits to see your own horse, outside of our organised visits, perhaps to bring your friends to see your horse.
Finally, we make everything transparent. We do not mark up the sale price of our horses for syndication. The syndicated value of each horse is the price paid to secure the horse and all associated costs directly associated with the horse (eg sales company, agent, transport, pre-sale keep). We charge an annual syndicate fee of £6,000 per horse to cover all our services.
