Wyclif (GB)

Colt, 3 yrs
Sire: Archipenko (USA)
Dam: Altruiste (GB)
Trainer: Ralph Beckett

This is an immature colt with plenty of scope to progress, but in spite of this he is a very fluent mover.

Jeremy has bought five horses by Archipenko: four have run, each achieving a spectacular increase in value. The first three are Time Warp (G1 winner,) Quantum Leap Racing’s own Archie McKellar (OR103) and Kasperenko (OR98); the fourth is Nivaldo, another Quantum Leap horse, who made such an impressive debut when winning his maiden in September.

This horse displays many of the physical attributes of his damsire Montjeu and it is a cross that we are very keen on. He has an impressive page: the grand dam was a champion and she has already produced a black type grandson out of an unraced daughter in Groor, who is also by Archipenko. We are following a proven path here.
